What is Story boarding?

A storyboard is a visual plan for a story, used to map out key scenes in movies, TV shows, commercials, animations, games, or graphic novels. It’s an important part of the planning process and serves several purposes:

  • Guiding production: It helps outline which scenes to create and how to do it.

  • Determining length: It helps decide how long the piece should be and how to structure it.

  • Testing ideas: It allows you to experiment with the story, making changes as needed.

A storyboard consists of a series of images or drawings that show key moments in the story, with notes about what’s happening in each scene. These can be hand-drawn or digital, and the final result looks like a comic book or graphic novel.
