Trimester 2 - Project work continues
In week 2, after learning a lot about the history of soundtracks I have decided to start looking into what the most popular soundtracks were and what made them so special and replayable to people, was it nostalgia? was it the artists? the orchestra? A lot of unanswered questions which I had to find the answers to before even starting to create my own soundtrack.

Chapter #2: Popularity & Replayability

It’s honestly so amazing incredible how some game soundtracks end up becoming very popular. Like, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has songs like “Zelda’s Lullaby” and even if someone hasn’t played the game, they might still recognize it from tiktoks or simply social media.

Minecraft's calm music, like “Sweden” by C418, is another example. It's wild how a simple, chill song from a minecraft can be known by so many people. Then there’s Undertale with “Megalovania” I still think it’s so cool how a song from an indie game just exploded all over the internet.

Final Fantasy VII's “One-Winged Angel” is another one; it’s like a boss fight song that uses orchestra and somehow even people who don’t play Final Fantasy have heard it.

It’s amazing how music made for a game can become part of pop and meme culture. It really shows how powerful and important video game soundtracks can be.
