This week I continued working on ideas for my exhibition. I kept taking pictures throughout the week/s of dark roads which I will showcase at the end of this page.

My issue is now, although I have an aesthetic and idea; how to i present it and in what way. What median to use to showcase it

This is when I created a mind map to put all the ideas of creation on "paper" to give myself a choice to make.

At first I thought a photo slideshow would be a nice and clean idea. Very simplistic but I think that sometimes it's better to go crazy and make it more extreme than simple; which is what I will do.

I think I will use a projector to display it on a blank canvas, this idea is very much inspired from week 5's projection I have made but this time I'd like to display it onto a blank white canvas, that way it seems as if my artwork is painted but a painting that changes with time.

I have created a diagram/sketch to kind of visualize my idea as I work better with visualizing things rather than imagining them.

This way having a projector at a small/medium length away from the canvas it can project very well showing all the details in high quality without any pixelization.

Although my idea in my mind sounds good I have to also research into it as I am unaware of how to exactly perfectly set it up.

Research:

As I was researching I came across a blog post (link here) by the magazine ARTSPACE, where they discuss the rise in projection art and 5 artists that have done exhibitions using this median in modern times.

Out of all the artists the one I found very interesting and similar to my ideas was

Josiah Mcelheny

Showcasing this beautiful projection on a wooden canvas, Josiah presents us with a very abstract yet almost three dimensional photo that looks very intriguing

I personally like it and I hope that when the time comes for the exhibiton that I will be able to showcase something of this kind.
Below I have showcased some more of the photos I have taken over the past few weeks that I like and think that might be able to make the exhibition.
