The old is dying and the new cannot be reborn
Nostalgia.
In todays lesson we started off strong, with the main topic of conversation being Nostalgia. What old technology we are nostalgic about or miss from our childhood and growing up.
Is there anything we are nostalgic for? Is there anything we currently use you might be nostalgic for in the future?
My old Playstation 2 Slim my parents bought me for my 5th birthday as a present. I used to love that thing, used to play games that well, at the time really weren't for my age; but who hasn't done that before. Right???
Anyway, I still have it back home in my old house in Romania and hopefully one day when I get back I can plug it in and play some games like I was used to back in the day. Wired controller and a bad Tube Tv.
Nostalgic Re-Designs:
We took a look at some 3D designs of 21st century smartphone apps turned into nostalgic 90's and 2000's gadgets. Below are the designs we looked at during the lecture:
