Silicone Shed
Silicone Valley:
Silicon Valley is a region in Northern California that serves as a global hub for high technology and innovation. It’s located in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, roughly corresponding to the geographical area of the Santa Clara Valley.
The term “Silicon Valley” originally referred to the innovators and manufacturers of silicon chips who worked there. However, over time, it has come to represent all the high-tech businesses in the area and the broader high-tech sector in general.
This region is home to many of the world’s largest tech corporations, including the headquarters of over 30 Fortune 1000 companies, as well as thousands of startup ventures.
Notably, it was in Silicon Valley that groundbreaking technologies like the silicon-based integrated circuit, microprocessor, and microcomputer were developed.
AMD:

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.) was founded on May 1, 1969 by a group of technology professionals led by Jerry Sanders. Initially, AMD primarily manufractured memory chips and other computer components. However, in 1975, they decided to start joining the microprocessor market, becoming a direct competitor to Intel, their main rival in the industry. AMD creates amazing processors and graphics cards. Over the years people have been less interested in them due to a stereotype that they always "overheat" but once they created the Ryzen series and started selling them with a great AMD manufractured cooler, people have joined their side as they are cheaper than Intel CPUs yet extremely powerful compared to them. AMD is committed to conducting its business in a fair, ethical, and honest manner, adhering to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This commitment starts at the top, with senior leadership—including the CEO—emphasizing the importance of aligning actions with core values.
